Dashboard GUI server.properties Editor

Dashboard GUI server.properties Editor

Configuring server.properties by opening a text file can sometimes result in typos, broken syntax, or corrupted values. The FreeMcHosting dashboard features an interactive GUI Properties Editor that parses your configuration into easy-to-use form toggles and dropdown menus.

What Settings Can You Configure in the GUI?

The GUI editor exposes all common server options with descriptive labels:

  • Server Message (MOTD): Input field for your server's multiplayer browser text.
  • Game Difficulty: Dropdown selector (Peaceful, Easy, Normal, Hard).
  • Default Game Mode: Dropdown selector (Survival, Creative, Adventure, Spectator).
  • PvP Toggle: Switch to allow or disallow player-vs-player combat.
  • Online Mode (Authentication): Toggle to verify players against Mojang accounts (keeps servers secure from username spoofing).
  • Allow Flight: Toggle to prevent kicking players using Elytras or flight plugins.
  • Spawn Protection Radius: Number slider to configure the protected block radius around spawn.
  • Max Players: Number input to configure concurrent player capacity.
  • View Distance & Simulation Distance: Sliders to optimize loaded chunk radiuses for 4GB RAM performance.
  • Hardcore Mode: Toggle for one-life worlds.
